TERMS & CONDITIONS
CORPORATE & GROUP BOOKINGS
Persons booking on behalf of a group of participants must ensure that AQUATRAILS is in possession of a booking form, duly signed by all participants before departure. Lack of a signature will preclude participation. The Legal Guardian of any person under the age of 21 years participating in a river trip shall be required to sign the booking form.
NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSITS
A deposit (see our rates list) is required to secure your booking. All deposits paid are non-refundable. Upon receipt of your deposit, an email will be sent to you confirming your booking.
BALANCE OF PAYMENT
The balance of the cost of the trip is payable not less than 30 days prior to the commencement of the trip.
Reservations made 30 days or less before the departure date must be paid in full.
CANCELLATIONS
If you cancel;
- 31 days or more prior to the trip departure date, you will receive a full refund less your non-refundable deposit.
- 30 days or less prior to the trip departure date, no refund whatsoever for any reason will be allowed and the full amount shall be payable.
CANCELLATION BY AQUATRAILS
In the unlikely event that our sub-contractors, suppliers, or we have to cancel a river trip due to any cause, Aquatrails will make every effort to offer an alternative trip date. If the alternative trip date is not acceptable, you will be entitled to an immediate refund.
Should you commit any breach of the terms and conditions hereof or any safety rules, we reserve the right without prejudice to any other rights available to us at law to cancel this contract forthwith.
PASSPORTS & VISAS
If your intended trip requires passports and visas, the onus is on you to ensure that said passports and visas are valid and that you are in possession of all the required documentation for entry and exit of South Africa / Namibia.
Please remember that all children need to have their own passports or be registered on one of their parent’s passports.
HEALTH
If you are a contagious disease carrier or have knowledge of any medical condition that is relevant to the river excursion, it is your duty to advise either Aquatrails head office or the lead guide before the river excursion.
All travel during the course of a River Excursion involves some physical exertion, temperature variation, and possible exposure to wildlife. The physical elements of river excursions and associated activities should be carefully considered by any person who intends to book a River Excursion.
However, our trips are designed to be within the capabilities of anyone who enjoys good health, is moderately fit and above all, is adaptable.
TRAVEL AND PERSONAL INSURANCE
You are personally responsible for arranging your own insurance and the cost thereof. When arranging your insurance please ensure that there are no exclusion clauses limiting protection for this type of activity – River Rafting.
Please note that you, your personal property, baggage, and money, are at all times during the course of a river trip solely your own responsibly. Aquatrails and their guides will not be held responsible for any damage or loss of life, injury, or ill health sustainable for the entire duration of the trip.
CHOICE OF LAW \ ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
This contract shall be interpreted according to and governed by the laws of South Africa. Receipt of your deposit and/or booking form represents an acceptance by you of these terms and conditions.
